Easter Parade

Today, we took Kendley to the Easter Parade in Zona Rosa.  It's a fun parade because it is mainly made up of kids and their families.  It was supposed to rain, but we were lucky that it held off until after we walked.  This year, we brought Maverick with us too.  He had fun with all of the kids coming up to pet him and taking his picture.  Although, I'm not so sure he enjoyed the bunny ears I tied to his head!  Kendley won girl runner up in the parade and got a build-a-bear Easter Bunny as a prize.  Kendley felt the say way about the Easter Bunny as she did with Santa, from afar, they are cool but close up, terrifying!  She looked happy to see him so we thought she might do okay on his lap, we were definitely wrong! She was so tired from the action she fell asleep on the way home.  Great start to the day and can't wait to dye some eggs later!

Spring is here! Baby Elchert is near!

The Elchert family continues to be busy and have fun at the same time! Here is a quick update on what we have been up to lately.

Baby Elchert: The weeks are ticking down until Baby Boy Elchert enters into the world! Currently, I am 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant. In a little over 3 weeks, we should be able to introduce our little boy to our family and friends. We couldn't be more excited (and I couldn't be more ready!). In the past few weeks, I have been going to weekly doctor visits to check the little guys progress. Kendley, being the observant little girl she is, has picked up on every little thing the doctor does to mommy's belly. We now spend our time at home with Kenldey laying us down on the floor and using her toys to listen to the baby in our bellies. :)

Jeff and I: We finally were able to sneak away for a date night! Jeff and I used a gift card from his aunt and uncle to the melting pot. It was such good food but by far even nicer to be able to spend time together. We spent most of the night talking about how different our lives are than when we first go married. It sure is different, but we wouldn't change a thing!

Enjoying our dessert!

Jeff: Jeff deserves a big congrats this month! He has been given the opportunity to take over the role of engineer manager at the plant he works at in St Joseph. His hard work continues to make us proud and we know that he will be successful at any job he is given. While he has been given more responsibility and in turn more stress, you can tell when he pulls up in the driveway to Kenldey grinning ear to ear for her daddy, all of his hard work is SO worth it!

Kendley: Kendley continues to make us smile everyday! She is such a happy little girl, and we love watching her grow and learn. She currently likes: her swing set, Daddy!, Maverick, babies, and repeating EVERYthing we say! We can't wait to see her with her little brother!

We hope you all are doing great, think about you often and can't wait to show you our new family of four!!
