Baby Elchert is a Boy!

Last Tuesday, Jeff, Kendley and I went in for my 20 week ultrasound and found out that TBD (that's what we call the baby for now :) is a BOY!  We were so excited to hear that we would be adding a boy to the family!  The ultrasound tech wasn't able to get a good view or picture of TBD's heart and there was a slight concern that he had a heart defect.  Today, we went to the high risk Doctor and he was able to see all 4 chambers of the heart and everything looks perfect!  This was by far the best Christmas present we could have asked for!   Can't wait to meet this little guy!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit!

This weekend Jeff, Kendley and I spent decorating the Christmas tree, visiting Santa and  hanging lights on the house!  It was such a fun weekend, even if Kendley didn't particularly enjoy her sitting with Santa.  :)

Thankful for everything!

This Thanksgiving, Kendley and I spent a week at my parent's house in Kentucky.  We were really excited to hang out with my parents, sister and her husband Justin.  My grandma was able to join us for Thanksgiving as well.  Jeff met us in Kentucky on Wednesday and we all left Kentucky on Saturday.  Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon we were able to spend with Jeff's parents.  Jeff and I talked a lot on our way back to Kansas City how lucky and blessed we are to have the families that we do.  Not only do we have amazing parents and siblings, we have a daughter that opens our hearts more everyday, a baby on the way, and a marriage that continues to grow in love and support.  Life can't get much better than this!

Halloween 2011

At the beginning of October, we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins for Halloween.  It was really strange walking around a pumpkin patch in a tank top!  We had a lot of fun this year since Kendley is so interested in everything around her.  She loved all of the animals at the petting zoo!

Kenldey was a duck for Halloween this year.  We thought this was fitting for her because she loves her stuffed animal duck and sleeps with it every night.  She got to wear her duck costume a few times.  The first time, she wore it to the library during our weekly Tuesday story time.  She also wore the costume at our church trunk or treat.  Jeff and I volunteered to be a trunk for the night and handed out candy to almost a thousand kids.  It was a lot of fun and Kendley loved all of the attention!  On Halloween night, we just went to a few houses in the neighborhood to show off our little duck.  She was so cute!
