Spring Break

Mom and Dad got us a changing table for Carlos.

Jeff and Dad got some extra help from Sloopy to put it together.

My parents came to visit over spring break. This was the first time we have seen them since announcing baby Carlos' existence. It was great to see them and I was pretty sad when they left. We went to the world war one museum. I believe Jeff and Dad liked it, but mom an I were not so impressed. I thought I found a dead guy on a bench in the museum. Seriously I coughed three times and he didn't flinch! But, he ended up waking up right before the place closed, yeah that was my fondest memory :) Mom, Dad and I started our registry while Jeff was at school on Saturday. It was helpful to have some people who actually know what is necessary for a baby to help me out. Jeff and I still have to go back after we find out the sex to register for a few more things. Over all, it was a great spring break (minus the weather)! Next week is the big day...BOY OR GIRL??????

I am in this picture trying to make the best of the moment :) It's a little like a "where's waldo" picture!
Mom was here too, but she took all of the pictures. We should have should have gotten her in here! Jeff and Dad were being babies and were too cold to wait in line to go up some tower. I wanted to go, so mom and I waited while Jeff and Dad went inside.

The word it out

My students noticed my little baby bump this week in class. One of my students asked me when I planned on having children, attempting to politely ask if I am pregnant. She said that she was worried that I just hadn't gone to the gym lately. They were all really excited to hear that I was and mad that I didn't tell them sooner. I only told one class, and all of my classes knew by the next school day. It is funny how kids react in different ways. I heard all kinds of "when my mom/aunt/neighbor/sister was pregnant..."stories. I've also had students leave me notes and pictures on assignments they turn in. Most are pictures of a stick figure me with a big belly and name recommendations.
I went for my almost four month check up this week. I got to hear the Baby's heart again. This time, it was much easier for the doctor to find and easier for me to hear. Our next appointment will be when we see him/her for the first time! We are so excited to find out if we are having a girl or boy! Today, Jeff said he has a feeling it's a girl.
